Because some people think that “doing research” is looking at a cropped graph on a fringe right wing website or watching shitty YouTube videos. Nobody is more sure of “what is going on” than the stupid people of this world. The “Do YoUr OwN ReSeARcH!” crowd who believe their 5 minutes looking at memes, Joe Rogan or Jordan Peterson videos gives them equivalent credentials to scientists and doctors.
