Just saw the TikTik by ellielovesmilk where she is in a B&N & thinks Harlequin books are AI generated. When people in the comments tried to share the history of Harlequin novels & why it is important to the genre, she essentially ignored everyone. Then you've got the other commenters ranting about how these titles shouldn't be in a bookstore. THEY ARE THERE BECAUSE THEY SELL. Bookthreads 1/2

Penny Jordan being one of them. They’re formulaic which is why one would think AI wrote them. And if they don’t deserve to be in a book store then neither does any romance novel that comes from Bloom Books
