Wicked the book, which is of course what the musical and movie are adapted from, HEAVILY implies queerness in specific characters. The musical and movie are actually quite toned down in comparison and the book was written in 1995. This is not new 2024 “wokeness”. It’s actually funny to see Fox draw parelells to one of the main pillars of the movie… using propaganda to make someone/something appear evil and wrong bc it doesn’t fit in with their agenda 💅🏼🧟‍♀️
