when i was in daycare/kindergarten we would have regular field trips to the forest. Frankly, it wasn't even driving distance but i think i learned a lot from that time

I’d recommend asking the center (assuming you haven’t already) where they go for field trips. My daycare takes the kids on walk to a playground next door, or to the Nextdoor field for soccer.

Why do you not want your kids to go on field trips? Genuinely curious. Our daughter is 1.5, and her daycare does a field trip once a week, mostly to the nearby park, another playground or a forest. She seems to enjoy it and has so much fun (at least on the pictures), so I'd like to understand why this so something you wouldn't want your kid to participate in.
