When you sleep, in Spanish, English, and German, you “have” dreams, like cherished treasures. In French, you “make” them like delicate pastries. But in Japanese, you “watch” them, like movies. Aren't languages fascinating?

We “make” dreams while we sleep in Italian, too. If they're nightmares, though, then we "have" them.

見る (to see) in Japanese is like...the ability to see. So someone wishes u to see a good dream like someone can wish u to see a great sunset view at the beach :D
