When we were kids we all loved Mr. Doubtfire, Robin Williams's character who tried every possible way to stay in his kids life. That was Hollywood in the 90s: fathers were just required to be loving and present in their kids life while mothers were vilified for focusing on their career AND raising their kids. Watching it now I see an irresponsible and immature husband, who ignores his wife needs, unable to hold a job and to set rules on his children. She had every right to wanting a divorce.
