Personally I feel like having a night nurse for your baby is beyond lazy, unless you physically can’t get up and tend to your child. Why become a parent if you aren’t putting in the work?

Because getting a good nights sleep means you can enjoy your baby more and be more present. It’s not lazy, it’s privileged and smart if you can afford it. Why so judgmental?

Women have historically always had help raising children wet nurses or a nanny the saying “it takes a village” doesn’t exist for no reason. People having children and not building a relationship with them is wrong but having a support system (paid or family) to help raise them is self preservation and incredibly responsible parenting

Not my personal preference either but I think people who can afford the luxury use it for reasons beyond what you with your limited knowledge and empathy assume. Assuming the best of everybody, some reasons I can think of would be work/career obligations, mental health issues, medical issues and lifestyle commitments. None of this screams lazy to me, or says they didn’t want to be parents.

My mom came and stayed for the first three months after I had my child. She took my daughter at night. I’d get up at 6am, feed her, take a nap and then we’d be up and moving. Having my mom there helped me and her dad out a lot! I get what you’re saying but being able to rest at night so I was actually alert and rested during the day was amazing.

Society when a woman has a baby: “it takes a village” Society when a woman gets help: “not like that 😡” I definitely did NOT have a night nurse but if I had the money I’d do it three nights a week in a heartbeat. The sleep deprivation and PPA are no joke.

As someone who couldn't afford one and enjoyed doing nighttime with my babies - everyone is different and has different needs. Why do some people have personal chefs, drivers or personal assistants? To do the things they don't necessarily enjoy so they can enjoy the parts of life they do enjoy. Money gives you that flexibility.

why do people feel the need to judge other parents. everyone has their own parenting style. what you think or what you feel is ultra irrelevant to how people choose to raise their own kids. stop worrying about other people’s business and focus on being a better person.
