Not saying any era's music is better than another, but how do you replicate driving home at 2 a.m. and hearing a late night DJ play Ani DiFranco treating her guitar like a percussion instrument and writing her name blindly on the back of your hand so you can remember to buy her album at the mall tomorrow? All the music I love the most in life were "who the fuck is THIS" singles on some indie station in the 90s heading home from a movie set or newspaper gig.
