Dear Australian cafes, can you please stop pricing yourself out of customers? $8 for a brownie – even a gluten free brownie – is too much for a brownie (even a gluten free brownie) and you should know that. At that price, it doesn't feel like a treat, it feels like a punishment. Especially if it's a gluten free brownie and it's the *only* gf item in the cabinet. Maybe we will buy it because we're desperate. Or maybe we'll decide to eat something at home. And drink our own coffee to boot.
