I worked the lunch shift at the sushi restaurant today, and my last customer was this old white man (perhaps a Vietnam veteran, based on his hat). I’ve served him before, and he’s very nice, usually orders this $45 sushi combo, and tips well. I was the last employee left in the restaurant (we close for midday), and as he was leaving i said, “Thanks for coming in today! Have a great afternoon, and Happy Holidays!” To which he replies, “Merry Christmas!” So I say “Yeah, Merry Christmas!” 😇…

It was only when one media company decided to have an issue that a whole swath of people got triggered. It’s exhausting.
