My family is selling my grandparent’s home to cover the cost of their in-home care. As the listing date nears, I’m deeply saddened by the thought of losing one of the few places I’ve always felt safe— a refuge that holds so many warm, cherished memories of my childhood.

I then left a copy for the new owners wishing them happiness in making their own memories. It gave me joy to do it.

21 小時內	Karen Hamacher karenhamacher	We did everything to keep my mother in the home that she and my father built in California in the 1950s by hiring private caregivers and even paying out of our pockets the last year… When she died and we sold the home, the new owner didn’t move into it and just recently tore it down to build something newer and grander… It broke our hearts, knowing all the hard work our parents put into making that home for 65 years.
