I used to do the Christmas rotas in a supermarket. Fun job 🙃 I never changed people’s fixed working hours at Christmas. My theory was that it was fairer that way as you’d get in rotation a good year, followed by a bad one then a not so bad one. But it was fair. Other reason I did it that way was because people could make plans before seeing the Christmas rota! Plugged the gaps with overtime and seasonal workers.
