nothing makes me unfollow faster than shitting on open door romances. you should read whatever you’re comfortable with, but claiming that the relationships in closed door romances are better or “pure” because there isn’t spice is dumb af. physical intimacy is a KEY component in any romantic relationship, and frankly I find it adds a deeper level of connection to those characters as a reader. there’s nothing impure about people taking care of & loving each other at their most vulnerable.
