Morrible tells the Ozian’s about “Glinda’s ascension” (as if this is the first time she’s telling them about it) yet substantial time has to have passed for all the plot points to develop (like the lion cub’s age, Fiyero being captain of the guard & Nessa being governor). I can help a little. The 1939 movie was loosely based on the 1900 book but made significant changes. (Just some examples: The magical shoes were silver, there were two good witches, it wasn’t a dream-it all really happened, etc.) Wicked the book (1995) was rooted about 90% in the original 1900 novel by L.
