When my Sister-in-law passed away at home, after a prolonged cancer fight, we were called early that morning. My husband wanted to immediately go to comfort his brother. I on the other hand wanted to buy ingredients for meals to take with us. Within a little over an hour, I made lasagna, meatloaf, a hashbrown casserole and brownies. When we arrived with the food mourners dug in. I was later told that my brother-in-law only had that food to keep him nourished for the rest of that week

No one needs to cook or worry about feeding visitors/family at this time. I like to buy a honey baked ham, sandwich rolls, chips, soda and a bakery pie for quick, easy eating and boxes of donuts for breakfast.

So many meals coming into the house, groceries being bought, people coming to sit with us and her. I’ve never been so humbled and grateful in my life. Let people help you.
