Michelle Yeoh was fantastic as Morrible in Wicked (and those costumes were 🔥🥵) but I will forever love the ostentation of the stage Morrible's makeup and costumes. To this day, when I read the novel, I see and hear Carole Shelley in my mind whenever Morrible pops up. I first read the book in 2003, right before the stage show opened, and Carole exactly matched my mental image of Morrible - gaudy, fish-like, and histrionic. Rue McClanahan included because who doesn't love her?
