I worked for a small DME provider as a biller. We accepted UHC because we pretty much had to after so many people signed up for their Medicare advantage plans. We were the only provider in the area so it was worth it to be able to still take care of our patients. and we pretty much billed 5 things exactly the same every single time and every single claim was denied initially, then about 80% of them were paid on appeal. So I spent half of my day dealing with the appeals, it was horrendous.
