The trauma I have been having the most problems processing is the day they held me down to get a hormone shot as a teen. A shot I did not want, and was trying to convey that to the doctor without upsetting my mother who was in the room. They were able to simply give it to me without any counseling and then, when I really changed my mind, had two assistants hold me in place to administer it. Completely legal and not questioned because the hormones matched what they assigned me at birth.
