Why are so many people simping for uber? Those prices are shite, see it for what it is rather than excusing overpriced overhyped public traded companies. This is the reason prices go up because they read this shit and bump them up because everyday tweets excuse this practice. You are no where near those earning all of the money, don't simp for them.

Supply and demand, get a car, use a bus or use another taxi company, taxi drivers are self employed and it's bad enough they have to pay Uber a fortune just to be a driver for them, on top of other costs such as fuel or deal with abusive, self entitled people that trash their vehicle or don't pay at all

To everyone saying this is rage bait. No it isn't. The normal cost of an uber for me to get to work is about £7, but if I want to get there ON TIME for 9am, it costs around £25. Its only about a 30 minute walk, but sometimes it's my only option if it's raining or cold enough that my joints start playing up, as the normal taxi services in my area are less than reliable.

yeah it’s honestly shocking, an uber into the town centre from my uni accom is £4 which is standard. but going the same distance in glasgow is £20 which is crazy. never mind the jump up when it’s busy in glasgow. have seen ubers priced at £50+ for a 20 min ride
