Probably had some underlying medical condition that was made worse by getting Covid. I had Covid for 3 days and it felt like a minor cold

Yes, he did. But that doesn’t discount the millions who died as a result of Covid directly. You had a mild case, and who knows which strain you had. There were people who were perfectly healthy who died, or survived and still haven’t fully recovered. I had it and couldn’t breathe properly for close to 4 months.

Well weren’t you lucky??? Not everyone shared your good fortune. My mother died of cancer at age 51. I got cancer but I was able to get my cancer surgically removed and I’m fine. So should I deny cancer because I had a mild case????

My friend who died was only 56. Slightly overweight and unvaccinated. He left behind kids and grandchildren who will never know him.

Congrats, same as the flu, which some strains cause a mild cold, and others might cause respiratory failure. It's almost as knowledge is almost catching up to you, but you're still faster...

My wife didn’t have any underlying condition. We all got Covid in November 2020, and she has still not fully recovered. They say that some people lost their sense of smell for a while. She didn’t lose her sense of smell, it’s that her brain got rewired so that nothing smelled right anymore. Citrus like lemons and grapefruit, smelled like burning sulfur to her. Peanut butter was one of her favorite foods, now she cannot stand the taste or the smell. It makes her nauseous. Many examples.

My colleague had 3 months on his back and is still suffering. Hunting, motor cycling and a life time spent outdoors. No underlying conditions.

Lucky you. Probabilities are part of the puzzle. The fundamental problem with science communication is the audience who don’t understand probability. The stats on numeracy in the general population are not good news.
