It was always “all bodies are beautiful” and never, “All bodies deserve basic respect whether you’re attracted to them or not. Try being bare minimum decent to people even if you don’t want to fuck them.” We tried to expand the beauty standard instead of dismantle it, so it never really stood a chance against trend cycles.

The cause of the fat is a different issue altogether. Take a look back in time to the early 80's and 70's and beyond... no crowd pictures will reveal morbidly obese people. People just weren't generally fat 50 or so years ago. Processed and convenience foods are the cause. Delete that cause from your life and delete the weight. It's THAT simple

The body positivity movement was created by Black women and it was literally for us to feel positive about our fat Black bodies.
