I worked as a bicycle mechanic for 33 years, in retail stores, because that’s where mechanics work, retail. I saw huge changes in specialty retail. If you went to a bike shop they had everything, clothing, accessories, and every nut and bolt and small part any bike could need. Other specialty retailers were the same, fishing stores, climbing stores, camping, skiing, they all had everything their activity needed.
