Had a conversation with someone recently who, in response to my activism, asked me, “What has Palestine contributed to the World?” I knew what was implied in the undertones, the dehumanizing nature of the loaded question was evident. In that moment, I had a choice. I could respond by listing the unique cultural arts of the Palestinian people, like Tatreez embroidery, agricultural contributions, culinary traditions. … or….

Although, I don’t think the person who asked the question would be able to easily comprehend the interconnectedness of the Palestinian cause in fighting global imperialism and oppression.

The universal signage we see in airports, restrooms, streets, etc. was developed by a PALESTINIAN!!
