Well there's different theories about the origin of the Christmas celebration in total, I'm not expert by any means, but from what I've read here and there, scholars and historians had agreed that March 25th is the day that Jesus was crucified, so they decided to celebrate His birth exactly 9 months later, December 25th. Jewish traditions had something to do with it I'm not sure 100% again i would have to research it more
