Brian Thompson could have chosen to do anything with his life. He chose to work his way up to being the CEO of not just a health insurance company, arguably the worst health insurance company. If he claimed his goal was to change the system from the inside then I would say the trajectory of United Healthcare over the 20 years he worked there proved that claim to be a lie. We all make choices and we all deal with the consequences of those choices.
