Adding to the “US healthcare is bullshit” stories. My family was camping (I wasn’t there, I was young and couldn’t get off work since I’d just started a new job) and my uncle started having a heart attack. My dad and other uncle were like, “We need to get you to a hospital.” My uncle said, “No, I’d rather die. I lost my job and I have no health insurance.” Dad and other uncle said fuck that and took him anyway. Turns out he qualified for Medicaid so it was all covered because the state of MN 🧵
