I prefer to listen to an emotionally mature, lyrical, grown ass man who is in tune with himself and his reality and whose rhetoric aligns with the lifestyle he is/should be living for a man his age. Kendrick exudes authenticity. He’s proud to be who he is, what he’s learned, and where he’s from. Aubrey feels like he’s constantly acting like different characters or portraying different personalities based on what will garner him the most attention. It’s distasteful & disingenuous.
