CEO apologists justify their astronomical salaries because “tHeY aSsUmE AlL tHe RiSk.” True, maybe, but in order to take a risk, they have to already have something they can afford to lose. You don’t see a lot of people on the streets whose former job was “CEO.” Why’s that? And beyond that, guys stepping into CEO positions were probably already making 7 or 8 figures in their previous jobs. It’s not *their* assets and lives they’re risking if the business fails. It’s yours.
