The answer is not taxpayer funded health insurance. The answer is no health insurance at all. There was a time in America where people just went to the doctor without copays and authorizations

Medicare for All has no copays or deductibles. If you have no insurance and you are injured or ill and can’t afford treatment you die. M4A estimated 6% payroll tax deduction to cover everyone. No premiums. Employers would not be obligated to offer/pay for health insurance.

I would be for that again, but patients are used to the concept of co-pays. They don’t understand what they’ve traded in exchange.
