Is there a difference between Caramel and Carmel? Or is it just how people pronounce it? How do you pronounce it?

9 小時內	KJT-M shes_somewhere	I finally understood it earlier this year. It's the same word pronounced Car-uh-mell vs Care-uh-mell. People downplay the middle uh sound in the first one so it just sounds like Carmel.
