Whooping cough (pertussis) is currently experiencing an outbreak in the US. This is a reminder that this is a vaccine preventable disease. The Tdap vaccine protects against pertussis and is recommended every 10 years and for pregnant women. If it has been more than 10 years since your last tdap dose— now is a great time to protect yourself from this outbreak and stop the spread to babies 👶🏼 whose little lungs can’t handle a pertussis infection.
