This little old man was found alone in the Bronx bearing evidence of extreme neglect. His fur was patchy, his skin inflamed, his ears were infected, and his eyes were red and sore. We brought him to our Center in Queens until an amazing foster mom named Marie stepped up to help prepare him for his future family. Little by little, Geppetto has been learning to trust and accept love. These days, Geppetto looks more like a yeti than a schnauzer, and we kind of love it! (1/2🧵)

幾秒內	NYC Second Chance Rescue nycscr	Our vets estimate Geppetto to be about 10 or 11. He is blind and does well with other dogs but tends to guard his food. He is a sweet boy but prefers not to be manhandled or picked up too much. He will need to be on eye drops for life, but lets his foster mom administer them without a fuss, as long as there's a treat or two after!
