Today at Dollar Tree my son wanted these little gel pads that go on his eyes. I mean it’s Dollar Tree, why not, right? Then he wanted to open a ring pop at the register & I said no and he got upset & cried and cried. Lady behind me butted in & said “wow I’d take him straight to bed and no iPad for him!” Which of course made him cry even MORE. Told the lady that “we don’t do iPads at our house” in my best “butt out, please” voice Kid wailed even more (1/2 🧵) parenting threads

Turns out he was crying because he thought he wouldn’t get his EYE PADS & some mean lady at the store didn’t want me to give them to him, and he would never even get them at home. I realized he really has no idea what an iPad is because he doesn’t have a tablet. Suffice to say he received his eye pads 😂 I think I’m doing something right when my kid is upset he may not get his $1.25 gel pads for his eyes& is oblivious to what an iPad is 😂

The cart got stuck and he started throwing a tantrum, he’s tired I’m tired but we need dinner right? Well I needed to help cause we’re stuck in the middle of the aisle, he’s fully laid out crying now I can’t get him to stop. I’m frazzled he’s frazzled. I pick him up and he’s dead fishing me, bawling because HE HAS to push the cart.
