Ok friends (and internet opinion police): I have seen Wicked and have to say, my middling to low expectations were met. Fun? Colorful? Great choreography and costumes? Well cast and essentially well written? Sure! But the bloat and glacial pace not only get in its own way where story is concerned but deprive even the most emotional of moments from packing any kind of lasting punch, deflating them before they have a chance to soar as they should. Not a complete wash, but far from a win.
