I’m really curious if there’s a significant difference between people having HMOs versus PPOs and related health insurance horror stories. I learned very early on always to go with a PPO and I wonder if that’s why I’ve had so few issues. 🤔

5 小時內	Anne Fabricius iafab29	I have PPO but honestly I’m starting to question that… I might be facing a $10k bill after getting urgent orthopedic surgery. I’m supposed to have OOP max of $2500 in network and $7500 out of network… this doesn’t add up…
7 小時內	August Guier august_pearl83	It honestly comes down to the HMO. Some can actually be ok and have way lower out of pocket expenses. I had an HMO when I had thyroid cancer. Surgery and treatment put me out $500 total because I knew the rules and stayed within the HMO. But it was Seattle and had a huge network. It takes a lot of research if you want to venture down the HMO route
