My dad died from liver disease brought on by drinking. After having run a company that provided health insurance for 20 years, he did not have insurance when he became ill. At the hospital, they wanted him to stay so they could manage his pain. He asked was my mom going to have to pay the bill when he died. When they said yes, he went home and died on the couch. This should not happen in the USA.
