The SEC argument that, “Because Alabama didn’t make the CFP, we need to schedule weaker non-conference opponents” is pathetic. Alabama didn’t make the CFP because it lost 3 conference games: with two of those losses to 6-6 teams (Vandy & Oklahoma). Win those games, and we don’t have this conversation.
