I really need my people to stop making blanket statements about Black parents. Your Black Mom/Dad made you pay rent, not because they were Black, but because they were poor. You were cursed out as a child because your Mom/Dad was mean, not because they were Black.

Children speak on not having “generational wealth” yet they also don’t want to work with the family to obtain the wealth because it doesn’t benefit their generation.

Not because they’re black or poor but the purpose was to teach me financial literacy/management & to give me a little taste of what it’s like “in the real world”. Kudos to them, because it worked. I also got cursed tf out a lot & got my ass tow up. Not because they’re black or mean… but because I was hard headed as shit as a kid/teenager. 🤣 kudos to them again, because it taught me respect for adults/authority. (millennials )
