Writing, posting, and speaking about our experience and history is an act of protest when we stand to be gaslit and suppressed by societal pressures. Creating our own businesses in our own communities and nurturing the growth of people like us is an act of protest when outsiders seek to steal or break everything we are. Occupying spaces held for our oppressors is an act of protest because we defiantly engage with the things they try to safeguard.
