I’m a nurse and I have many insurance company FAIL stories. But today, my semi comatose 22 year old pt that cannot speak and is unresponsive has not had a conservator for months. They are making the parents go through the courts to make healthcare decisions for their severely brain damaged daughter. So they can’t make drs appts, therapy appts, dental & vision appts, appts with ortho etc., they won’t send her Gastrointestinal tube feeding nutrition until the conservatorship is granted! .
