You’re not wrong- and I hope people consider ways to be *more* intentional with how they show up on social media. It not cost a subscription, but we also have to recognize there are many costs to us as users on these platforms too. Decentralize. Join private or paid spaces that aren’t free public social media. Use your connections to develop IRL relationships and history that can’t go poof with the touch of a button.
