(Message 2) keeping her in the outdoor condo lets her learn smells outside, and associate this new location with being fed and safe. This let's her know where home is, so she can find her way back if she wanders. This is a good way to ensure she doesn't get lost. She needs to get used to it. This is the method I used to relocate my mom's cats to my house when she went into assisted living. I've seen people just let the cat out in a new place, and they almost always disappear (likely to go home).
