Does anyone else “fact check” a book located in a region they are very familiar while reading it? Because the location the book I am reading is set in most definitely does not have Door Dash Bookthreads

I do want authors to be allowed to set their stories in a place they visited and loved, but weren’t there long enough to, like, order delivery. So, if it’s an off the cuff thing, like “Door Dash will be here in 15, let’s have a plot-relevent convo” then I’ll move past it. But if the book is a cozy mystery where a Dasher solves a murder… I probably would throw the book against the wall.

Yes!!! It was set in northern Virginia and their commute times were so wrong even in the land of no traffic. Also got pissed when reading one set in NC that had a favorite restaurant and had food they don’t serve in the book.
