It’s time for the annual faux-outrage over “Mary Did You Know”? So I’ll put my 2 cents in. Of course Mary knew some things… but she wasn’t omniscient. And rhetorical language, hyperbole, and poetic license are acceptable in writing songs.

3 小時內	Di McCullough dimcc	I think my outrage over the song has come from hearing it most frequently in contexts where no one believes women generally. That does significantly shape how it’s received.
一天內	Kook Cait caitkook	I can’t explain why, but the song just grates on my last nerve. It doesn’t help that every time I hear it, it sounds like the person singing it is doing so to glorify him/herself instead of God.
