I wonder daily what they even teach in nursing school anymore. Wound care? New nurses can’t dress wounds. Professionalism? That’s out the window as well. Looking at your vitals and labs? Nah. I’m genuinely scared for this new generation of nurses.

I work with a lot of new grads who are strong, great nurses. Definitely can’t relate to this statement.

You know new grads are beginners right? And you were in nursing school once- how much was truly spent on things other than theory, physiology, pharmacology, etc?

You're literally still in your 20s according to your post about looking for a new place to live. Why don't you calm down or step up and transition into education?

Idk I feel very prepared as a new grad. Off of orientation for almost a month, following 12 weeks of orientation. There’s obviously stuff I’m not super comfortable with bc we don’t see it a ton or it’s more complicated (chest tubes, trachs, etc) but with my time management, assessments, and meds, I feel well prepared. I’m great at wound care. I’m in oncology so port and central line labs are like second nature to me. Idk I’m pretty professional as well
