To be fair, they would have gone into oblivion even if she weren't in a memory care facility.

I despise the GOP as much as anyone, but according to Snopes, she is actually on the independent living side of the facility and the memory care story was started by The Dallas Express, known for right-wing propaganda. I suspect another republican is hoping to unseat her. These people eat their own. That said, the fact that she hasn’t been able to do her job for months makes me wonder why members of congress don’t have some minimum expectations for doing their jobs.
