There was NO vote! There was NO treaty of annexation! The people in fact signed petitions in opposition! 🙄 Bill Clinton apologised on behalf of the US government in the 90s acknowledging the US's illegal occupation. It was merely talk without action, but it's an acknowledgement of guilt at the bare minimum.
