Someone tell me when it became unacceptable for young girls to want to dress up like princesses? I would have loved any opportunity to wear a floofy gold dress as a child, and Blue Ivy got that opportunity and seized it. Good for her.

Because some feminists have the idea that EVERY little girl 👧 should want to grow up to be a career woman like an attorney, a doctor 👩⚕️ , a politician or a scientist 🧑🔬. And that somehow, wanting to grow up to be a housewife and enjoy overly feminine things is an indication of female oppression by men. I actually feel sad for women who feel this way, because many little girls LOVE to dress up in fancy dresses 👗, and play house 🏠 with their baby dolls. . .but are made to feel that it is wrong!

As long as it’s respectful or appropriate for the situation what the heck dress up and have fun. With that being said as long as the dress it age appropriate and is weather friendly, I say go for it we live once and it brings joy and happiness to them. It’s clothing and no one else is affected or harmed in any way by wearing it they’re only seeing it.

Princesses, yes of course. But that dress was inappropriate for her age.
