Today was a hard school day. We had a couple of new skills which maxed out our young brains, it's December, they're 7, they bicker like brothers and sisters, and it's cold and rainy, which meant we didn't get to go outside. Energy was frenetic, and patience was short— for all of us. And the kid whose name came out of my mouth way too many times today... ...saw me after school as I arrived for bus duty, jumped up from their friends, ran over and grabbed my hand, asking to read with me.

幾秒內	Bekah Stoneking bekahstoneking	Kid: Come on! Me: Oh? We're reading? Kid: Yep!! Come ooonn!! We sat down and I blinked exhausted, over-stimulated, humbled, love-filled tears from my eyes. Me: I got on to you a lot today, but you still want... Kid: Uh, YOU DID. 😳 But I know why. I kept breaking all the rules. Me: And you still want to hang out and read? Kid: A'course!! I saved you this seat, didn't I?! And so, Pete The Cat was sounded out in the sweetest, proudest, most excited little voice. It was the best end to our day.
