My grandfather once broke down. Everything looked like he had a stroke. I called the ambulance. The air ambulance came with 2 doctors. They said it really looked like a stroke but wasn’t but i did everything right. The insurance paid. Its about peoples life and not taking any risk. Wake up USA. Your inhuman system is bs.

The insurance company would probably have had much easier time agreeing to pay $6000. $60000 is not a reasonable charge for lifesaving medical intervention, it's extortion, a cynical attempt to profit off the parent's fear for their child's life. Want to fix your country's medical care? Focus on ridiculous hospital charges first.
